La leyenda de la Isla del Gallo en inglés.

The legend of "Isla del Gallo"

The Isla del Gallo is located in San Jose Lagunas Manialtepec on the coast of Oaxaca. Just a few minutes from Puerto Escondido on the coastal road leading to Acapulco. Visitors can find a great variety of life forms through natural richness of mangroves; Abundant Life of saltpeter lagoons flowing to ocean tides from time immemorial and invariably share nutrients and species between high tide and sea.There is an island in the lagoon of Manialtepec known as La Isla del Gallo. This island is just a small tract of land and rocks with many shrubs, a few trees and aquatic flora lining the small mound.The island is home to the legend of La Isla del Gallo and that there was a brave crocodile hunter who lived in that place. Manialtepec ponds and Chacahua are large areas of mangroves and marine waters framed by water trails where shrimp are grown, large specimens are caught Robalo and, of course, home to large crocodiles;Hunter had great affection for his rooster, singing, always bouncing in hunting games. Returning from dangerous tasks, the rooster greeted with cheerful chirping to its owner. A December 24, Christmas Eve, said the hunter was killed in battle with a crocodile. The rooster, awaiting the return of his owner died of loneliness and hunger in the islet. They fishermen and inhabitants of the region on Christmas Eve singing rooster can be heard at 0:00 pm in the desert island.The rooster calls his beloved master each year at the same time.
